You will need...
- 2 can Buttermilk Biscuit (10 counts each)
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 lb. ground beef (or pork, chicken, turkey as you like)
- 1/2 to 1 cup chopped green onions
- 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Water
- pinch of salt and ground pepper to taste
- 2 tsp. sesame oil (if dislike the sesame oil flavor, use cooking oil; or no extra oil at all)
- Mix all ingredients for the filling together in a large bowl. Stir until all ingredients mix well together like a big ball. Set aside or refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle some flour on the cooking board. Flatten each biscuits with a rolling pin or the palm of hand into a 4-inch round piece. Filling the center with the meat filling just enough to gather the edges of the dough together. Seal side down.
- Heat a non-stick medium pan over low heat (about level 3 or 4). Add 1 Tbsp. cooking oil, place buns next to each other in the pan. Add 1/2 Tbsp. water, then cover to simmer for 2-3 minutes or until bottom turns golden brown. Flip the buns and cover to simmer until turn golden brown. If the stove too hot, turn it down to lower level. It is easy to burn the skin on higher heat before the filling is cooked. If you like, you may turn the buns on the side to brown the side to make golden all over.
- Spray with oil lightly before taking them out of the pan, if you like. Also may sprinkle some sesame seeds for decoration.
