- 1 cup lukewarm milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. active yeast
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cooking oil
- 1 egg
- Optional: 1 cup white raisins
- Mix well together and set aside until double the size.
- Lightly spray the cupcake molds or puto molds with no-stick cooking oil. Fill the molds 2/3 full with the batter.
- Steam over the boiling water for 20 minutes.
Makes about 24 muffins.
