Adopted from Pinterest
I found this yummy cookie recipe on Pinterest. It is easy to make. I like it less sweet, so I reduced sugar and chocolate, add one more cup of flour from the original recipe. I add white chocolate chips and chopped walnut, just because I have some leftovers at home.
You will need...
- 4 TBS butter
- 16 oz. chocolate chips, semi-sweet
- 4 eggs, large
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Make it...
- Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
- Line baking sheets pans with parchment paper.
- In a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate chips on medium heat. Cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together eggs, sugar and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together.
- Add melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture ans stir to combine well.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients folding them into the wet batter.
- Once all the flour is incorporated, you may stir in extra chocolate chips and/or nuts.
- Scoop 1 1/2 TBS of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until they are firm on the outside. Do not over bake.
- Leave to cool completely on the cooling racks.
